Get to know your new Spapilot.

"You come home on a Friday evening. The spa is perfectly warm, ready for you—
But it hasn’t been wasting energy all week.

That’s Spapilot.

Instead of keeping your spa hot 24/7 “just in case,” Spapilot learns your routines, checks electricity prices, and heats only when it makes sense.
It’s not just a remote control—it’s a brain for your spa.

Sometimes the water will cool down a bit. Sometimes it will heat at unusual hours.
That’s Spapilot quietly saving you money, without sacrificing comfort.

You set the rules:
When do you want to bathe?
How warm should it be?
What’s “too expensive” for you?

Spapilot does the thinking—so you can just enjoy your spa, smarter."

Start with the Onboarding in the left corner and read the Quick Guide below

With spapilot, we think differently

With Spapilot, we think differently

Most hot tubs today are still built on an old idea:

keep the water hot all the time – just in case you want to use it.

That means the spa is often on 24/7, even when nobody is bathing.

Comfortable, yes. But it wastes a lot of energy and money.

Spapilot is designed to change that.
Instead of always keeping your spa hot, Spapilot makes sure it heats up when you actually plan to use it – and relaxes when you don’t.

By combining smart scheduling, live electricity prices and simple goals, Spapilot helps your spa:
  • be warm and ready when it matters
  • avoid heating when it doesn’t
So you get:
  • the same comfort as an always-on spa
  • with much lower energy costs
  • and a smaller impact on the environment – every single day you use Spapilot instead of “always on”.
We believe the future of spa living is smart, on‑demand and effortless.
With Spapilot, your spa does the thinking in the background – so you can just enjoy the water, and feel the difference on your energy bill and in everyday life.

3. Step by Step After Initial Setup

Step by Step After Initial Setup

1. Open the Spapilot app
Open the Spapilot app on your mobile.

2. Go to “Cost Control” on the Home Screen
Tap on Cost Control from the home screen to set up all your energy settings.

3. Configure your electricity plan
a) Select your plan:
  • Hourly Price (“Spot”) – Spapilot fetches quarter‑hour prices and calculates an average for each hour, so you see and control your costs on an hourly level. Choose your country and zone (e.g. SE3, SE4).
  • Zone‑Based Price – enter fixed prices for different time blocks according to your contract (e.g. day/night rates).
  • Fixed Price – enter your constant price per kWh.
b) Set your maximum price per kWh:
  • Type the highest price you agree to pay for heating (e.g. 1.00 SEK/kWh or €0.10/kWh).
  • Tip: Never set zero – control is switched off and the spa may not heat.
  • The lowest allowed is 0.01 €/kWh for Cost Control to be active (check your currency).
c) (Optional) Add provider fee
If your contract has a fee per kWh, enter it here. Spapilot will calculate the total cost accordingly.

d) (Optional) Activate Peak Charge Mode
If you have certain hours with extra fees (peak charges), select which hours Spapilot should avoid. This helps prevent very expensive periods.

e) Set temperature and minimum alert
  • Enter your target spa temperature.
  • Set a Min. Temperature Alert to get notified if the water gets too cold.
f) Tap “Update” when you’re done.
Scroll down to continue to Planner.

How Cost Control works with Planner Basic and Planner Dynamic
  • Planner Basic uses the price and temperature limits you have set, but your schedules stay exactly as you created them.
  • Planner Dynamic is more tightly connected to Cost Control. When you change price or temperature and tap Update:
    • all Planner Dynamic schedules are updated to the new values
    • the currently running dynamic schedule keeps its old settings until it finishes
    • Planner Basic schedules are not changed
This means you can use Planner Basic for stable, fixed habits – and Planner Dynamic when you want Spapilot to react more to price changes.

4. Create or edit a schedule in “Planner”
Go to the Planner tab in the app.
Here you can choose between Planner Basic and Planner Dynamic, depending on how you want Spapilot to behave.

Planner Basic – simple, fixed schedules
Use Planner Basic when you want clear, recurring times when the spa should be ready.
  • Open Planner Basic.
  • Select the days you want your spa to be heated (e.g. Friday–Sunday).
  • For each day, choose:
    • the time when you want the spa to be warm and ready (for example 20:00)
    • your target temperature (for example 38 °C)
  • Save the schedule.
Planner Basic focuses on your chosen days and times. It does not automatically change when you update prices or temperature in

Cost Control – your schedules stay as you created them.

Planner Dynamic – smart, price‑aware planning
Use Planner Dynamic when you want Spapilot to use electricity prices more actively.
  • Open Planner Dynamic.
  • Select the days you want your spa to be heated.
  • Choose your preferred time window or target time for bathing.
  • (If available in your app version) set priorities, for example more comfort vs more savings.
  • Save the schedule.
Planner Dynamic uses your Cost Control settings (max price, temperature etc.) more directly.
When you later change values in Cost Control and tap Update, all dynamic schedules (except the one currently running) will follow the new values.

Important for both Planner Basic and Planner Dynamic:
No matter which option you select, Spapilot never heats if the current electricity price is above your set maximum.
It waits for prices to drop – saving you money.

5. Set recurring behavior (“Repeat”)
For both Planner Basic and Planner Dynamic, you can choose how often each schedule should repeat:
  • Weekly – every week (e.g. every Wednesday at 12:00).
  • Every other week – for example every other Friday.
  • Monthly – once per month.
Select whatever best matches your bathing habits.

6. Save your settings
Tap Save or Apply when you are finished to update the schedule.

Our recommendation
For the easiest setup and maximum freedom, we recommend:
  • Use Cost Control to set a maximum electricity price per kWh that fits your budget.
  • Start with a simple Planner Basic schedule (for your most common bath times), or
  • Use Planner Dynamic if you have spot price and want Spapilot to optimize more actively.
This ensures Spapilot only heats your spa when:
  • the electricity price is below your chosen limit, and
  • you actually plan to use the spa.
You decide exactly what you are willing to pay for comfort – no surprises, full control at all times.

Example:
Set your max price to e.g. 0.13 €/kWh (or 1.50 SEK/kWh, or your local rate).
Common questions when you start with Spapilot

1. A low electricity price alone is not enough for Spapilot to start heating.

In Planner Basic:
Spapilot checks two things every hour:
  1. Is the current price at or below your Max Price?
  2. Is the water below your temperature setting, taking Heating Mode into account?
If the water is still warm enough, Planner Basic will not heat, even if the price is low.
Both conditions must be true at the same time.

In Planner Dynamic:
SmartHeat Engine™ looks at your whole plan:
  • It may already have chosen other hours that are cheaper or better placed before your bath time.
  • It may calculate that you will still reach your target temperature without heating right now.

Planner Dynamic does not heat just because the price is low – it heats when it is needed for your plan.

2. What does Heating Mode (Priority / Comfort / Economy) actually do?

Heating Mode controls the balance between comfort and savings by defining how much the water is allowed to cool below your target temperature.
  • Priority
    • smallest allowed drop below target
    • highest comfort, most stable temperature
    • more frequent heating
  • Comfort
    • medium allowed drop
    • balance between comfort and savings
  • Economy
    • largest allowed drop
    • biggest temperature swings
    • highest potential savings
Both Planner Basic and Planner Dynamic use Heating Mode:
  • In Planner Basic, Heating Mode is part of the rule that decides if the water is “cold enough” to start heating.
  • In Planner Dynamic, Heating Mode defines the comfort band and is used in the cooling model to decide when the next heating period is needed.
If you feel the spa is too cold too often, move towards Priority.
If you want more savings and accept more variation, move towards Economy.
