System Check

Verify your Spapilot setup is working correctly. Expand each item to see what to check and what to do if something is wrong.

A solid LED means the Spapilot device has an active WiFi connection and is communicating with the Zavepower cloud. The device is ready to accept remote commands.

If the LED is blinking or off

A blinking LED indicates the device is trying to connect. Check that your router is on, the WiFi password entered during setup was correct, and the device is within range of your 2.4 GHz network. A slow blink means connecting; a fast blink means authentication failed.

Open the Spapilot app and navigate to your spa. The status indicator at the top right of the device card should show a green dot labeled Online. This confirms the app can reach your device in real time.

If the app shows Offline or Connecting

Force-quit and reopen the app. Check that your phone has an internet connection. If the device LED is solid but the app still shows offline, try pressing the sync button in the app settings. If the problem persists, power-cycle the Spapilot device by unplugging it for 10 seconds.

The temperature shown in the app should match the actual water temperature in your spa. If your spa is at rest and unheated, a reading around ambient outdoor temperature (typically 10–30°C) is normal. If the spa has been heated, expect 35–42°C.

If the temperature reads 0°C, -1°C, or is clearly wrong

A sensor error or disconnected temperature probe is the most common cause. Check that the temperature probe cable is securely connected to the Spapilot device. If the reading is extremely high or low, the probe may be damaged — contact support with your device serial number.

In the Spapilot app, tap Instant Heating and set the target temperature 2–3°C above the current reading. Within 5 minutes the spa heater should activate — you will hear the circulation pump and heater engage. The app will show Heating in progress.

If the heater does not activate

Check the spa control panel directly — if the spa itself is not in a ready state (filter cycle, error code, or Eco mode lock), Spapilot cannot override it. Verify the spa is not showing any error codes on its local panel. If the local panel shows Ready and the heater still does not respond to app commands, the Spapilot cable connection to the auxiliary port may be loose.

In the app, navigate to Energy or Schedule and verify that today's electricity prices are displayed. Spapilot pulls hourly prices from your regional grid operator (Nord Pool for Nordics, ENTSO-E for DACH and UK). Prices should refresh automatically each evening for the following day.

If prices are missing or show as unavailable

Check the Energy settings in the app and confirm your country and electricity tariff zone are set correctly. Price data requires an internet connection — if your device is offline, prices will not update. If the correct zone is set and the device is online but prices are still absent, contact support as the price feed for your region may need manual configuration.
