No, you don’t need an electrician. Spapilot connects directly to your spa’s control box and power source. If you feel unsure, you can always contact us for support.
6. Which spas are compatible with Spapilot?
At launch, Spapilot is compatible with BP-series control boxes. Support for YE-3 and YE-5 control boxes will be added later. Please note: Zavepower has no commercial partnership with Balboa Water Group or Gecko. Any mention of the Balboa BP series or Gecko YE 3 and 5 is solely to clarify technical compatibility.
7. Do I need Wi-Fi to use Spapilot?
Yes, Spapilot requires a stable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection (not 5 GHz) to function optimally. Wi-Fi is used for syncing data and updating the device.

If you want access to Spapilot’s advanced features, such as cost control, energy tracking, and the planning tool, you will need to purchase a Spapilot. Spa Energy Optimizer and Spapilot are not compatible with each other, as they are built on different technical platforms.

Hardware Warranty
We offer a 24-month warranty on the hardware components of Spapilot. This warranty ensures that the hardware is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use during the warranty period.
What is covered:

What is not covered:
- Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or unauthorized modifications.
