Introduction – What Spapilot Really Changes

Owning a spa has always been built on one simple idea,
you keep it hot all the time – just in case you want to use it.

That “always on” mindset is expensive, wasteful and completely blind to when you actually use the spa or what electricity costs right now.
It’s a bit like leaving your oven on all day, just in case you might want to cook dinner.

Spapilot is designed to break that logic.
Instead of your spa being a dumb box of hot water, Spapilot turns it into a connected, intelligent system that:
  • understands when you want to use the spa,
  • knows what electricity costs hour by hour,
  • and plans how and when to heat in the smartest possible way.
You tell Spapilot when the spa should be ready and how much you are willing to pay.
Spapilot takes care of the rest – automatically.

" The difficulty lies not so much in developing new ideas as in escaping from old ones. "- John Maynard Keynes

It will feel different – and that’s the point

Because Spapilot does not think in “always on”, some things will feel unfamiliar at first:
  • Sometimes the spa will not heat when you expect it to – because the price is high or it’s too early for your “ready by” time.
  • Sometimes it will heat earlier than you expect – because that’s the cheapest way to be ready when you asked.
  • You will see colours and status messages that you are not used to from a traditional spa panel.
That is normal. It means the system is actually thinking.

This onboarding will guide you step by step so that:

  1. You know what Spapilot is doing and why.
  2. You trust that the spa is ready when you want it.
  3. You can see how much smarter it is than “always on”.

We believe Steve Jobs was right when he said that people don’t know what they want until you show it to them.
Spapilot is our way of showing a completely new way to own and run a spa.
