Update on New Pricing Model and why we don’t change to 15 min

The electricity market has recently shifted from hourly prices to 15-minute intervals. While this change impacts many energy calculations, we want to assure you that it does not affect the way your spa is optimized.
Heating a spa takes time, and a 15-minute window is simply too short to provide any real benefit. Potentially this makes the numbers of start/stop up to 48 times per day, cycles would only increase a sertian wear, energy losses, and costs. For this reason, we continue to use one-hour reference periods in our calculations. The hourly price is based on the average of the four 15-minute prices within that hour, ensuring efficient and reliable heating.
This approach allows your spa to run more smoothly, reduce energy waste, and maintain comfort – without being disrupted by very short price fluctuations.
